Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for billing, follow up, and collections for Medicare claims on Rehab patients. Must be willing and able to implement collection policies and procedures, identify denial trends, and stay current on collection topics. Will be primarily responsible for the accurate and timely follow up on claims, appeals, re-submittals, etc. with government entities (Medicare/Medicaid), and some self pay accounts.
- High school diploma is required. One (1) to two (2) years of college preferred.
- Knowledge of business office procedures and hospital policies
- 2+ years experience billing and collecting on Medicare claims – Blue Cross Blue Shield
- 2+ years experience in Rehab collections (SNU, IRF,
- Traditional Living Rehab)
- Excellent telephone communication skills.
- Maintain a positive and courteous attitude.
Preferred Skills, Experience, Knowledge:
- Experience with CPSI software
- Experience in Denial management processes
- Experience in practice management
